Christmas mood. Operetta

In the program «New Year's mood. Operetta» will feature musical masterpieces by I. Kalman, his contemporaries and followers. The lightness and melody of the pieces that will be performed at the concert will give listeners a sense of celebration.

I.Kalman, along with I. Strauss and F. Lehar is a representative of the so-called Viennese operetta.
He has written 20 works in this genre. The enormous popularity of his operettas is explained primarily by the merits of the music - brightly melodic, effective, brilliantly orchestrated. The composer acknowledged that P.I. Tchaikovsky's music, particularly the Russian master's orchestral technique, greatly influenced his own compositions. The most famous operettas of I. Kalman: «Silva», «The Circus Princess», «Maritza», «The Violet of Montmartre», «The Duchess of Chicago», «The Gypsy Premier».
