Nadezhda Aleksandrovna Dokshina has passed away

It is with deep sorrow that the collective of the State Academic Russian Orchestra named after V.V. Andreev and its artistic director and principal conductor D. D. Khokhlov report an irreparable loss.

Nadezhda Aleksandrovna Dokshina, an artist of the alto balalaikas group, who dedicated her life to the art of folk music and service to our group, has passed away.

Nadezhda Aleksandrovna graduated from the Leningrad Music College named after M. P. Mussorgsky, where she studied the small domra under the guidance of the outstanding teacher Professor Z.I. Stavitsky. Her path began in the folk instrument ensemble under the direction of N. M. Sviridov at the Department of Musical Ensembles of Lenconcert, where she worked from 1968 to 1975. In 1975, Nadezhda Aleksandrovna became part of our orchestra, taking a worthy place in the alto balalaikas group.

Her talent, hard work and dedication to her work became an example for many. Nadezhda Alexandrovna was not only a wonderful artist, but also a person who was able to convey her love for music. The tradition continues in her children and a whole galaxy of musicians. They worthily continue the path of Nadezhda Alexandrovna, being artists and soloists of our group.

The bright memory of Nadezhda Aleksandrovna Dokshina will forever remain in the hearts of colleagues, friends and grateful listeners.

We express our sincere condolences to the family and friends.
