She was born and received her musical education in Leningrad. While studying at the music school, she twice became the winner of the television competition named after V.V. Andreev. She later studied under the tutelage of renowned domra players, soloists of the Andreevsky Orchestra, international competition laureate E.A. Sheinkman, and Professor I.I. Shitenkov at the Leningrad Music College named after M.P. Mussorgsky and the Leningrad (St. Petersburg) Conservatory named after N.A. Rimsky-Korsakov.

She frequently performed as a guest artist at the State Academic Russian Orchestra concerts named after V.V. Andreev during her years of education, and in 1985 she was hired as a member of the team's personnel. Currently, Tatyana Buslenko is a soloist performer on a rare instrument – the domra piccolo.
