Natalia Churina
Concertmaster of the alto domras group, soloist of the orchestra

Born in Saint Petersburg. She started studying music when she was four years old, and after being captivated by the alto domra's unique sound, she made the decision to link this instrument with her artistic destiny. Studied at the Saint Petersburg Lyceum of Arts under O.I. Gunicheva. She received her degree with honors from the St. Petersburg State Conservatory named after N.A. Rimsky-Korsakov in the class of Honored Artist of Russia, Professor N. N. Shkrebko, and the St. Petersburg Music College named after M. P. Mussorgsky in the class of Honored Artist of Russia A.G. Nikolaev. In 2018, under the guidance of Professor Shkrebko, she completed her postgraduate internship at the conservatory with honors. Throughout her academic career, she won numerous awards. In 2017, she became the winner of the XVIII International Competition «Northern Cup» named after A.L. Repnikov, in 2019 - winner of the International Competition of Performers on Russian Folk Instruments «Eurasia-III»

In 2005, as a fourth-year student at the college, she was accepted into the alto domras group of the State Academic Russian Orchestra named after V.V.Andreev. Since 2012, she has also played in the ensemble of soloists of the orchestra under the direction of Honored Artist of Russia Vladimir Fonin. She actively performs with the Andreevsky Orchestra as a soloist.

Natalia Churina combines her performing arts with teaching activities. Since 2017, she has been teaching at the St. Petersburg Music College named after M. P. Mussorgsky.
