Artist of the second small domras group, soloist of the orchestra

Born in Minsk (Belarus). She graduated from music school as an external student, specializing in domra, after which she entered class of Ya.A. Volosyuk at the Minsk State Music College named after M.I. Glinka. She has won scholarships from the Special Fund of the President of the Republic of Belarus and been named a competition laureate on multiple occasions. She pursued her musical studies under Professor A.V. Makarov, an Honored Artist of Russia, at the St. Petersburg State Conservatory named for N.A. Rimsky-Korsakov. After graduating from the conservatory, she completed an internship at the Gnessin Russian Academy of Music under the guidance of Professor N. I. Lips.

Since 2001 – artist of the small domras group of the State Academic Russian Orchestra named after V.V.Andreev, soloist of the group. Lyubov Gorodnaya’s extensive creative geography has shaped the soloist’s special performing style. Her sensuous and profound comprehension of the author's objectives set her musical interpretations apart.

In 2013, together with the artists of the Andreevsky Orchestra, Ekaterina Lomova and Ivan Amolin, she took part in a creative experiment to reconstruct the performing style of domra players from the turn of the 19th and 20th centuries.
