Three Anniversaries of Russia

State Academic Russian Orchestra named after V.V. Andreev will present in the Great Hall of the Moscow Conservatory named after P.I. Tchaikovsky program «Three Anniversaries of Russia», dedicated to significant dates in Russian culture: the 80th anniversary of the Great Victory, the 130th anniversary of Sergei Yesenin and the 125th anniversary of Isaak Dunaevsky.

In the first part, the renowned ensemble and the reciter, Honored Artist of Russia Semyon Sytnik (Alexandrinsky Theatre), will perform a musical and poetic composition - the suite by Valery Gavrilin «House by the Road» based on the work of Alexander Tvardovsky, accompanied by the poetic lines of this poem.

The second part will open with the suite «Our Lesser Brothers» by St. Petersburg composer Gennady Belov based on the poems of Sergei Yesenin, performed by tenor Alexander Mikhailov, soloist of the Mariinsky Theatre.
The evening will end with the brilliant music of Isaak Dunaevsky - a concert waltz and an overture to the legendary film «Children of Captain Grant».

At the conductor's stand is the artistic director, chief conductor of the Andreevsky Orchestra, People's Artist of Russia Dmitry Khokhlov.

This is the second performance of the renowned ensemble in the Great Hall of the Conservatory after almost a century-long break. In 2023, the return to this stage was a real triumph: the hall was full, and the audience did not let the musicians go for a long time.

The concert on September 8 is a rare opportunity to hear masterpieces of Russian music performed by one of the most renowned orchestras in the country, continuing the traditions established by Vasily Andreyev.
