Dedicated to the Heroic Endurance of Leningrad

On the Anniversary of the Complete Lifting of the Siege of Leningrad

On January 27, the Day marking the complete liberation of Leningrad from the Nazi siege, the V. V. Andreev State Academic Russian Orchestra will present a commemorative concert entitled Dedicated to the Heroic Endurance of Leningrad.

The program features works by composers whose music is inseparably linked with this dramatic historical era.

This date is forever carved into history—and into the hearts of all who remember.
For 900 days and nights, the city was encircled by a ring of steel, famine, and bitter cold. Yet Leningrad did not surrender. The city lived. It fought. It worked for the front. And it endured. This day stands as a triumph of the human spirit over the machinery of war.

We bow in deep respect to the people of Leningrad.
Your victory lives on within us.
Our memory stands with you forever.
