The program presents a broad spectrum of the instrument’s expressive and technical possibilities — from solo works and chamber ensembles to large-scale compositions with orchestra. The concert features established masterpieces of the repertoire, contemporary works, and premieres, including pieces performed in Saint Petersburg for the first time.

The concert features the Chamber Ensemble of the Andreev Orchestra
Conductor: Honored Artist of Russia Vladimir Fonin

Works by Vladimir Nasonov, Vladimir Boyashov, Sulkhan Tsintsadze, Evgeny Derbenko, Andrei Eshpai, Alexander Shalov, Alexander Tsygankov, Nikolai Rimsky-Korsakov, as well as world and St. Petersburg premieres by Evgeny Sandler and Mikhail Bronner, will be performed.

This concert is not only a central event of the festival, but also a musical manifesto of the alto domra — an instrument capable of speaking a modern musical language while remaining deeply connected to tradition.

We invite lovers of classical music, scholars and performers of folk instruments, and everyone open to new timbres and discoveries.
