Melodies of the past and present

The Andreevsky Orchestra invites you to spend an unforgettable evening within the walls of the legendary Chapel, where music will revive pictures of the past, inspire the soul and fill the heart with joy. The concert program includes works by outstanding composers, from majestic classics to contemporary masters.

The first part will delight listeners with exquisite waltzes, folk melodies and virtuoso instrumental numbers. In 1945, he wrote the first concerto for domra and orchestra, which will be performed this evening, marking the upcoming 80th anniversary of the great Victory. The composer is also the author of music for the films «Dowry Wedding», «Morozko», «Fire, Water... and Copper Pipes».

In the second part, the orchestra will present works by Aram Khachaturian, Andrei Petrov and the premiere of the Children's Suite by St. Petersburg composer Sergei Oskolkov. The music will transport you into a world of picturesque soundscapes, full of contrast and dynamics.
